Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie sell New Orleans home for $4.9 million

Brangelina are leaving the French Quarter.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have sold their home in New Orleans' famed French Quarter neighborhood for $4.9 million, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The exes bought the home on Governor Nicholls Street in 2007 to support the area badly hit by Hurricane Katrina.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Are Selling Their French Quarter Mansion

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are placing their New Orleans mansion on the market, asking a cool $6.5 million for the 7,645-square-foot digs. The couple purchased the home back in 2007, a year after Hurricane Katrina devastated the city and surrounding areas.

The French Quarter residence, the historic home boasts exquisite details like Venetian plastered walls, custom marble fireplaces and a grand spiral staircase.

No word on whether the Jolie-Pitt's are planning to swap residences in New Orleans or say goodbye to the city for good.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Get Married In France

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were married Saturday at Château Miraval in France, the couple's spokesman tells E! News. The actors wed in a small chapel in a private ceremony attended by family and friends.

Prior to the nondenominational civil ceremony, the movie stars obtained a marriage license from a local California judge, who also conducted the wedding ceremony in France. The Jolie-Pitt kids— Maddox, 13, Pax, 11, Zahara, 9, Shiloh, 8, and twins Knox and Viviennne, 6—participated in their parents' wedding.

Jolie walked down the aisle with her elder sons, while Zahara and Vivienne threw petals. Shiloh and Knox served as ring bearers. Other details regarding the wedding have not been disclosed to the public.

As a source told E! News last month, the couple had longed to marry at the recently renovated Chateau Miraval: "It'll be a lovely celebration to start life in the new house...They want to marry there at that house and celebrate how far they've come as a family, as a couple, and individually in just 10 years."
