Darren Criss' Mother On 'Glee' To Be Played By Catherine Zeta-Jones?

Glee showrunner Ryan Murphy wants Catherine Zeta-Jones to play Darren Criss' mother on the Fox musical-comedy.

Criss plays out-and-proud student Blaine Anderson on Glee, which returns next month.

When asked by a fan on Twitter, “Are we ever going to meet Blaine's dad? Will he be unaccepting, like it was hinted at before?” Murphy replied: “Not sure, but know who I want as BLAINE's mom? Catherine Zeta-Jones!”

Season three of Glee will include guest star Sarah Jessica Parker (Sex in the City) playing the editor of fashion glossy Vogue's website.

Co-creator and executive producer Ian Brennan described Parker's character as “frazzled, eccentric and hilarious.”

“It's gonna be good,” Brennan said.
