At the end of the season, Saints Quarterback Drew Brees will be a free agent... unless he signs an extension with the team. He faced questions about it today.
How are negotiations going?
"They're going. That's always an ongoing process," Brees said briefly. "Whenever that happens, it happens."
He didn't care to elaborate, but did say during the interview that his family is happy in New Orleans.
"My wife and I love the city, and it's hard to believe it's been already five-and-a-half years that we've been here," the QB said. "Hopefully we'll have many, many more good years."
Brees talked about the Who Dat Nation too.
"The bond and the connection between our fans and our organization and team is stronger than any other place. It's a special bond," according to Brees.
He also talked about winning a Super Bowl as a Saints and wants to do it again. "And hopefully many more as we move forward."
