DEA agents and NOPD officers descended upon a French Quarter home Thursday, seizing chemicals they say are used to make methamphetamine.
Officers also arrested the resident, 33-year-old Scott Kowaleski, on a charge of possession of methamphetamines. Police say they are still questioning the suspect and may bring more charges later.
Thursday's raid happened around 1:00 p.m. at the apartment at Bourbon and Dumaine. Authorities confirmed that the chemicals in Kowaleski's apartment were sealed, and no hazardous fumes were detected inside or outside the apartment.
