Juan Pablo Di Pace Comes Out as Gay!

Fuller House, Dallas, Eric Prydz 'Call on Me' Video and Dancing With The Stars star Juan Pablo Di Pace just came out as gay.

During an emotional TedX event, the 39-year old actor/singer opened up about the homophobic abuse he suffered growing up in Argentina.

“Acceptance was my fuel, and when that is the case, like an addict, you do whatever it takes to get a fix,” he said. “I figured, if I changed my f*cking self, I could be in.”

Di Pace, who was raised Catholic, struggled with his sexuality throughout adolescence and into adulthood. Ironically, it wasn’t until he was cast as Jesus Christ in the miniseries A.D. The Bible Continues that be began to accept himself.

“Many years later and still justifying my being gay with my critic, I get offered the role of a lifetime: Jesus Christ,” he recalled. “Of all the people in the world that could play this part, they gave it to me.”

Di Pace continued: “So there I am, hanging on the cross […] in Morocco […] and I look up at the sky, and I think, ‘You could still strike me down with lightning. Are you sure you want me to play your son?’ Instead, what I felt was an overwhelming feeling of love and acceptance and freedom that I could never even put into words.”

“A message from God? Maybe.”

He added: “Words are like universes and we are musicians who can create universes with them.”

Connor Jessup (American Crime) Comes Out on Instagram

View this post on Instagram

I knew I was gay when I was thirteen, but I hid it for years. I folded it and slipped it under the rest of my emotional clutter. Not worth the hassle. No one will care anyway. If I can just keep making it smaller, smaller, smaller.... My shame took the form of a shrug, but it was shame. I’m a white, cis man from an upper-middle class liberal family. Acceptance was never a question. But still, suspended in all this privilege, I balked. It took me years. It’s ongoing. I’m saying this now because I have conspicuously not said it before. I’ve been out for years in my private life, but never quite publicly. I’ve played that tedious game. Most painfully, I’ve talked about the gay characters I’ve played from a neutral, almost anthropological distance, as if they were separate from me. These evasions are bizarre and embarrassing to me now, but at the time they were natural. Discretion was default, and it seemed benign. It would be presumptuous to assume anyone would care, yeah? And anyway, why should I have to say anything? What right do strangers have to the intimate details of my life? These and other background whispers––new, softer forms of the same voices from when I was thirteen, fourteen, fifteen.... Shame can come heavy and loud, but it can come quiet too; it can take cover behind comfort and convenience. But it’s always violent. For me, this discretion has become airless. I don’t want to censor––consciously or not––the ways I talk, sit, laugh, or dress, the stories I tell, the jokes I make, my points of reference and connection. I don’t want to be complicit, even peripherally, in the idea that being gay is a problem to be solved or hushed. I’m grateful to be gay. Queerness is a solution. It’s a promise against cliche and solipsism and blandness; it’s a tilted head and an open window. I value more everyday the people, movies, books, and music that open me to it. If you’re gay, bi, trans, two-spirit or questioning, if you’re confused, if you’re in pain or you feel you’re alone, if you aren’t or you don’t: You make the world more surprising and bearable. To all the queers, deviants, misfits, and lovers in my life: I love you. I love you. Happy Pride!

Garrett Clayton Comes Out as Gay in Emotional Instagram Post

With the release of my new movie REACH coming up, I thought it was important to explain why I took on this project in the first place. REACH deals with some very serious and timely topics that have affected me personally, and have likely influenced many of your lives as well. (I also prefer to share things that are particularly important for me here on my IG) instead of in some random magazine or online article - because you are the ones that have been rooting for me and following me on my professional and personal journey in life. When I read the script for REACH, I immediately knew it was a film I had to be a part of. I have personally dealt with suicide within my own family, intense bullying in high school, and - on top of it all - myself and the man I’ve been in a relationship with for a long time (@hrhblakeknight) have both experienced shootings within our hometown school systems, and have witnessed the heartache that takes place in affected communities after such tragic events. These topics - not always easy to discuss- are all close to my heart, and, knowing how serious they are, I wanted to share this with you all. This film has come from the perspectives of people who care deeply about these issues, and if watching it helps even one person... then it was all worth it. ♥️

Janelle Monáe Comes Out!

On her sexuality: “Being a queer black woman in America…someone who has been in relationships with both men and women – I consider myself to be a free-ass motherf*cker…[she initially identified as bisexual] but then later I read about pansexuality and was like, ‘Oh, these are things that I identify with too.’ I’m open to learning more about who I am.”
On her message to her fans: “I want young girls, young boys, nonbinary, gay, straight, queer people who are having a hard time dealing with their sexuality, dealing with feeling ostracized or bullied for just being their unique selves, to know that I see you. This album is for you. Be proud.”

Tyler Posey Reacts to 'Teen Wolf' Co-Star Charlie Carver Coming Out

Tyler Posey was pleasantly surprised by the news that his former "Teen Wolf" co-star Charlie Carver had recently come out as gay on Instagram.
Posey, who plays Scott McCall on the MTV series, filmed a guest appearance for an upcoming episode of "Larry King Now," and at one point during the interview, host King asked the 24-year-old actor for his reaction to Carver's big reveal about his sexuality.
"That's so great man," said Posey, before revealing that had known Carver's sexuality long before but was unaware that he had officially come out of the closet.
Posey then expressed how thrilled he is to see how much easier it is now for people to come out.
When King said that people are now living in a "wonderful world," Posey agreed and shared a short story to help him explain his point.
"The other day I was driving by these two kids wearing backpacks in high school, and they were holding hands -- boys -- and I loved it," the actor said. "It was so cool. I really dug it."

Gus Kenworthy on Life After Coming Out: “I Was Blown Away by the Support”

Miley Cyrus and figure skater Gracie Gold are just two of the women once romantically linked to Gus Kenworthy, but he didn’t object to the rumors. “I used to hook up with girls to be cool with the guys,” the Olympic freeskier admits in an exclusive interview for the new issue of Us Weekly. “There were times I would cry afterward.”
Now the 24-year-old is finally done pretending: In October, he revealed that he’s gay. “I was at the point where I couldn’t continue to lie,” says Kenworthy, who came to terms with his feelings at age 16.
“I was worried that I’d be known as ‘the gay skier’ ... and everything else about me would be overlooked,” he explains. “I have a big fan base of young girls, and I didn’t want to disappoint them.”
Luckily, the Colorado native’s family, friends, and fans showed him nothing but encouragement.
“I was blown away by the support, and it’s insane how many people have come out to me — even closeted athletes,” he says. “I feel like I’m helping battle gay stereotypes, because I compete in a rugged action sport.”
Kenworthy, who is set to hit the slopes in January’s X Games, also revealed that he’s dating.
“I am seeing someone, but it’s pretty new,” he tells Us. “I feel like as soon as you publicly talk about a relationship, there’s so much pressure put on it. We’re just getting to know each other.”
As for the pro skier’s celebrity crushes? “I don’t have a type, but I’m generally drawn to masculine guys, like Tom Hardy. Oh, and Matt Bomer!”

Holland Taylor: 'I Am Out. I Live Out!!

Holland Taylor, 72 publically talked about her sexual identity for the first time in a recent interview with WNYC. When the conversation turns to Taylor’s long-term relationship, Death, Sex & Money host Anna Sale asks, “Do you find yourself enticed by marriage?”

“Well, my relationship is with a woman,” Taylor responds, “and I have not — given my generation it would not be something that would automatically occur to me. But she's mentioned it because just from a spiritual point of view, from a heart point of view, as a — as a — as a deed that has a very rich symbolic gesture to it, it has its attraction. But it's been a very casual conversation at this point. But it’s not — it would be a very private thing. I would not do that publicly. But as a symbol, as a pledge, as a plighting one's troth I would see it — that it would be a wonderful thing to do.”

When pressed for her girlfriend’s name, Taylor is as reserved as she’s always been.

“Well I feel at this point in the conversation it feels kind of awkward. Now I feel very very shy of it. I’ve been really wrestling with this lately because most of my relationships have been with women and I don’t like talking about them because I don’t like talking about the politics of it all because I’m not political about it. I think we’re ridiculous in this country about it. Ridiculous. And so, it’s awkward because if I talk about relationships in my life or people that have been in my life, or somebody I’ve been seeing for a while or this, that and the other thing, I’d like to be able to just say that, without having to stop and say, ‘so have you come out?’ No, I haven’t come out because I am out. I live out.”

Taylor does share one thing about her girlfriend: “There’s a very big age difference between us which I’m sure shocks a lot of people, and it startles me.” Startled as she may be, Taylor doesn’t seem too torn about dating a much younger woman, as she dryly concludes, “But as they say, ‘If she dies, she dies.”
