A Toy Train in Space

On Aug 24th 2012 Ron Fugelseth sent his son's favorite train "Stanley" to space in a weather balloon with a HD camera and an old cell phone for GPS.  He was recovered 27 miles away in a  corn field and they got some great footage of the trip. This video documents the journey from liftoff to landing.

Ron's 4 year old and Stanley are inseparable like Calvin and Hobbes. He's been attached to him since he was two, and they play, sleep and do everything together. I animated Stanley's face with After Effects and Photoshop to bring him to life how I imagine my son sees him.

Dog Passes Out From Joy When She Sees Family Member After Two Years

A pet dog's reaction to a family member returning home after 2 years... which in fairness is 14 years in dog years. 

The family member was living and working in Slovenia, and didn't return home to Murrysville, PA last year, because her whole family (except Casey) came to Bled for her wedding.
Sidenote:

The schnauzer, Casey, was taken to the vet, the vet saw the video, and everything is fine with her. No worries.

Deer Approaches Camera, Licks Lens With No Inhibitions

YouTube user A Bad Idol recently uploaded a video of a deer approaching him and his camera while he filmed the animal from his porch.

At first, the man begins to back away as the deer approaches. But then, after reaching his porch, he stops while the deer keeps coming forward. Oddly enough, it seems the curious deer just wanted a taste of the camera, perhaps checking to see if it was food.
