Kelly Clarkson paused her wedding planning to take a trip to coffee farms in Peru where she was surprised to find the locals had dance moves to rival Beyoncé.
Clarkson joined Green Mountain Coffee for their Great Coffee, Good Vibes Choose Fair Trade campaign in the gorgeous South American country. The bride-to-be gushed about the coffee farmers she met during the eye-opening trip, and said she bonded with local artisans who have been able to reap the benefits of new fair trade coffee agreements.
“I didn’t know that a lot of them didn’t have electricity,” Clarkson said. “That’s the one cool thing that was for me to learn with this opportunity, [through Fair Trade] they have more opportunity with their whole community.” One great benefit of the human rights organization’s progress in the region is increasingly connected communities, Clarkson explained.
