Barbra Streisand Will Sing at the Oscars For First Time in 36 Years

Barbra Streisand is set to perform on the Oscars telecast for this year's awards, the producers of the show announced

"In an evening that celebrates the artistry of movies and music, how could the telecast be completes without Barbra Streisand?" producers Craig Zadan and Neil Maron wrote in a statement.

It will be the legendary actress' second time ever singing at the Oscars.

The last time Streisand performed at the awards show was in 1977, where she sang the love theme from "A Star Is Born." Later that night, she nabbed the Best Original Song Oscar.

But Streisand isn't a stranger to attending Oscars. Her first golden statuette was for Best Actress in 1968's "Funny Girl." She was nominated twice more, once for producing 1991's "The Prince of Tides," and again for her performance in 1973's "The Way We Were."
