Pitt, Clooney, Bacon, Colfer, Bomer, Morrison and More In “8″ Play

An all-star cast — including Brad Pitt and George Clooney — performed in the Los Angeles debut of 8, a play about the legal battle to legalize same sex marriages in America.

The play, written by Oscar-winner Dustin Lance Black, was streamed live on YouTube. Since this was a reading, the audience in the theater and online were treated to seeing hunks like Brad Pitt and George Clooney wearing reading glasses.

The play is directed by Rob Reiner, who is on the board of the American Foundation for Equal Rights, which is the organization funding the fight to the Supreme Court. Organizers say they produced the play to expose the ridiculous nature of the trial, because the proceedings were never videotaped for the public.
