Thanks For Promoting My Album On Grindr, Says Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift has approved gay “social networking” app Grindr for the use of promoting her new album 1989, which by the way is projected to go platinum in its first week of sales after it’s released tomorrow.

Earlier this week, Swift shot to the top of the iTunes chart when a possible glitch leaked an eight-second white noise audio track titled “Track 3″ on 1989‘s official Canadian iTunes storefront, where of thousands of people purchased it for $1.29.

As if her album needed it, the 24-year-old singer applauded the further promotion of her album on Grindr this week by sharing the following screenshot on Tumblr:

“CANT STOP LAUGHING” she says. “I will be applauding you for decades to come for this.”

Tyler Posey Jokes: “I Have A Grindr Account”

In a sneak-peek preview clip for the 22-year-old's upcoming MTV special Being Tyler Posey, the Teen Wolf star's friends try to teach him about the straight dating app Tinder. That's when Posey confesses he knows all about Grindr, the gay hookup app equivalent of Tinder.

"You know what Tinder is?" one friend asks Posey.

"Tinder? No, what is that? Is it like Grindr for straight people?" Posey responds. "I know what Grindr is because I have an account."

While it was probably a joke, there's definitely a large group of fans who would be happy to come across Posey's Grindr account.

The New Faces of GRINDR

Grindr began the hunt for a new faces for there App via Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #grindrmodel. After 780 submissions and more than 2,500 votes, two winners were announced. They are Eric Angelo, a go-go dancer originally from Texas now living in Hollywood and Matthew Stehlik, a bartender in Florida by way of Pittsburgh.
