New Orleans Ranks No. 2 in Best Places to Travel in 2016, No. 7 in the World!

The results from Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Awards survey are here, and New Orleans ranks high among travelers. The survey ranks New Orleans No. 2 in the U.S., and No. 7 in the world.

In the U.S. ranking, New Orleans comes in just behind Charleston, South Carolina. In the worldwide list, New Orleans is between Barcelona, Spain and Kyoto, Japan.

Winning over readers with its "impressive, unique food scene," this is the third year in a row that New Orleans snagged the No. 2 spot for U.S. cities. New Orleans was No. 10 in the world cities list in 2014, but was missing from the top 10 in 2015.
