The jazz-filled streets of New Orleans and the romantic paths of Paris once again top the lists of the most traveled to destinations across the globe this year.
But some newly popular spots like Iceland and Cuba are climbing up the ranks.
New Orleans — known for allowing visitors to freely drink booze in the streets while listening to live jazz — topped travel guide AFAR's list of most traveled to places in 2015.
AFAR's editorial team worked to compile the list based on the most searched for terms and cities for trip planning in 2015.
The entire country of Portugal trailed behind the U.S. city as the second most popular locale.
Earlier this year, MasterCard released a list of the most visited places in the world, which was led by Bangkok, Paris and Dubai.
And an early look at 2015 travel released by TripAdvisor in March said Morocco, Cambodia and Chicago would be among the top traveled to destinations.
Some overlaps of the most popular cities included Rome and New York City
