New Orleans Saints Quarterback Drew Brees Named FedEx Air Player of the Week

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees has been named the FedEx Air Player of the Week, the NFL announced on Thursday.

Brees threw for 381 yards and four touchdowns in a 42-17 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This is the fifth time Brees has earned the honor this season.

He was up against Peyton Manning, who passed for 266 yards and four touchdowns before exiting in the first half of the Denver Broncos 34-14 win against the Oakland Raiders. Manning also broke Brees' single-season passing record in that game.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who passed for 318 yards and two touchdowns in a 33-28 win against the Chicago Bears, was also nominated.
