Drew Brees Matches Johnny Unitas, Throws TD in 47th Consecutive Game

It's been a long time coming, but Johnny Unitas' NFL record for consecutive games with a touchdown pass has finally been matched.
Drew Brees tied the 52-year-old mark with a 20-yard laser strike of a throw to Marques Colston in the first quarter that pulled the New Orleans Saints into a 7-7 tie with the Green Bay Packers.
According to the NFL's Jon Zimmer, Unitas' record stood for 18,291 days -- and was established when gasoline cost an average of 31 cents per gallon.
Unitas passed for 10,645 yards and 102 TDs during his 47-game streak.
Brees has tallied more than 14,000 yards and the pass to Colston was his 112th TD pass in 47 games.
