One Direction is one of the biggest bands in the world right now and, if New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is to be believed, a 1D Pepsi commercial is coming our way. News that the band, which is one of the biggest successes from the U.K. version of The X Factor, is teaming up with Pepsi has us wondering: Could it be company’s new, iconic commercial for The X Factor this year?
In response to a fan question on Twitter on Tuesday, Sept. 4 asking if it was true that Drew had filmed a Pepsi commercial with the boy band, Drew replied, saying, “Wait til you see it!!! I was part of the band!” The tweet has since been mysteriously removed from Drew’s timeline. Maybe he announced the surprise too early?
The boys of One Direction have been hard at work finishing up their second album, entitled Take Me Home, which will be released November 13. Niall Horan recently spoke with Ryan Seacrest about the new album, explaining the title.
“We thought about it for a while. Because we all would do a lot of travelling around the world and we get to see a lot of cool places, but the main thing is there’s no place like home. It’s always kind of nice to go home…We’re obviously nervous. The second album you never know what you’re going to get from it. But we’re really excited about it. It’s really fun, very heavy on guitars and drums, so we’re super excited about it.”
