Brad Pitt Got It Right...

The homes built by Brad Pitt’s Make it Right are designed to reduce the risk of damage from a storm. To prepare for Hurricane Isaac, homeowners have installed custom window coverings made from kevlar, which is also used in bullet-proof vests, and can withstand more than 130 mile per hour winds.

In his 2010 PopTech talk, Make it Right’s Executive Director, Tom Darden, says that, “We think that this could really roll out beyond New Orleans to other markets around the US. At Make It Right, we don’t think it should take a disaster to make green building available and affordable.”
