GCB fans have wrangled up over 100,000 signatures to save the canceled ABC show through online petitions, with the majority of the signatures from SaveGCB.com. “Save GCB” is now the largest online fan petition to ever attempt saving a television show.

In further support of the Save GCB campaign, fans are causing a new controversy by sending mailing thousands of Bibles to ABC President, Paul Lee asking him to “Save GCB”.

Petitions to save TV shows are nothing new, as the past reveals success in campaigns driven by fans for shows such as Jericho, Arrested Development, Futurama, Chuck, Designing Women, Star Trek, Roswell, Felicity, Family Guy and recently NBC’s Community.

The adapted for television GCB is based on Kim Gatlin’s novel “Good Christian Bitches”, about catty, Bible-thumping Dallas socialites.

ABC recently submitted GBC in 4 Emmy nomination categories for Best Comedy Series, Best Comedy Actress (Leslie Bibb) and Best Supporting Comedy Actress (Kristin Chenoweth and Annie Potts).

Potts said “Gigi is the role of a lifetime for me and I would do anything to put that big red wig on again and go play with my awesome castmates!”

SaveGCB.com founder Randy Bragdon said, “We hope ABC or other networks like TBS, Lifetime or USA can see there is a loyal and devoted base of fans and viewers want GCB. To date over 103,000 signatures have been acquired…not bad for a show that only aired 10 episodes at 10pm on a Sunday.’

Fans are keeping the faith that GCB will be ‘saved’ and are asking viewers to sign the petition at www.SaveGCB.com.
