Super Bowl XLVI: Most Watched TV Show Ever!

Quarterback Eli Manning of the New York Giants poses with the Vince Lombardi Trophy after winning Super Bowl XLVI at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday (February 5) in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The game “reached a total audience of 166.8 million viewers, making it the most-watched show in U.S. television history,” according to The Nielsen Company.

But Madonna’s halftime show was a “more popular viewing than the football game itself,” THR reports, with nearly a 16 percent margin!
