Britney Spears: How She Spent Her 30th Birthday
While Britney Spears was celebrating her 30th Friday by ice-skating in Houston with boyfriend Jason Trawick, her celebrity friends were sending her birthday messages or homemade videos.
"Happy birthday to the beautiful Miss Britney Spears! Welcome to the 30's club, Brit!!" Kim Kardashian told the pop star onCelebuzz. "I wish you all the best for this next year and beyond. You're going to love your 30's! I love you and hope you have a magical day."
Lady Gaga and Justin Bieberphoned Spears on Friday, while Nicki Minaj and Lance Bass (who kiddingly called his old pal "grandma") – not to mention hundreds of her biggest fans – posted videos to honor her.
Rihanna, Katy Perry (who wrote, " Happy B-day, Brit Brit!"), Ke$ha, Pauly D,Heidi Klum, Miley Cyrus and others sent their well-wishes, as did Ryan Seacrest: "7 years and so many frosted tips later, we're both finally 30!" he wrote, while also posting an old photo of himself with Spears. Her response: "Next step for you are extensions!"
The pop star enjoyed reading many of the messages and watching the videos while in bed on her big day with her sons Preston, 6, and Jayden, 5. She also thanked many of her friends and fans on Twitter.
"Thank you girl. Max is so cute! Miss you. Xxoo," Spears responded toChristina Aguilera. Bass also got a special note: "You knew me when I was celebrating my 18th! Wow. Feels like yesterday," Spears wrote.
The birthday girl resumes her South American tour Saturday and plays a free show in Mexico City on Sunday before closing out her world tour next weekend.

In a new interview, AOL Television asked Channing Tatum’s ‘21 Jump Street‘ costar (and fellow executive producer) Jonah Hill about his surprising casting choice…
[AOL]: “Well the promos look really fun, and it’s an awesome cast. Channing Tatum stands out, since he’s not exactly known for being funny. Did you picture him, or someone like him, when you were writing that part?”
[JONAH]: “Oh yeah, I completely chose Channing and I called him up myself and offered him the part. Talk about doing things out of your comfort zone or things that are gonna get people to see you in a different way — I think he’s really going to blow people’s minds with this movie. He is so funny, it’s crazy. It’s really going to be shocking to people how funny he is in this movie.”
Neil Patrick Harris and Kelly Ripa Inhale Sulfur Hexafluoride
Kelly Ripa and guest-host Neil Patrick Harris demonstrated the inverse scientific effect. They had on Science Expert Bob, who came carrying a canister of Sulfur Hexafluoride, a chemical gas that makes your voice hilariously deep.
Bob filled each host up a balloon, and when Harris asked if it was dangerous, Bob could only reply, "Okay, let's do it." Things got pretty entertaining after they inhaled, as they each launched into movie quotes fitting their newly baritone voices.
Kelly went to 'Star Wars,' quoting "Luke, I am your Father," while NPH went with a slightly darker reference. "It puts the lotion in the basket," he said, quoting Buffalo Bill from 'Silence of the Lambs.' After that, they burst out in laughter and pretended to be addicted to the stuff.
