Acrobats strip for Pope Benedict XVI, perform topless in Vatican !!

A usually staid weekly Papal audience was spiced up this week with an acrobatic performance by a troupe of topless men. The four performers dressed in white suits walked across the stage towards the Papal throne and surprised the Pope by whipping off their shirts before beginning an acrobatic performance on Tuesday. The Pope looked on as the men hoisted each other into the air, one on top of the other, three high.

A Strain on the Head !!

Austrian Man Wins The Right To Wear A Pasta Strainer In His License Photo!!

In Austria one of the strangest fights for religious freedom has come to an end: Niko Alm, a self-described "Pastafarian," fought for three years for the right to wear a pasta strainer on his head in his driver's license photo.
His argument? Alm claimed he belonged to the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster and wearing the strainer was part of his religion
The BBC Reports:
Mr Alm's pastafarian-style application for a driving licence was a response to the Austrian recognition of confessional headgear in official photographs.
The licence took three years to come through and, according to Mr. Alm, he was asked to submit to a medical interview to check on his mental fitness to drive but - straining credulity - his efforts have finally paid off.
It is the police who issue driving licences in Austria, and they have duly issued a laminated card showing Mr. Alm in his unorthodox item of religious headgear.

Lady Gaga Gets Egged at Sydney Nightclub!!

As AOL Music previously reported, Lady Gaga has gotten her oversized mermaid tail in hot water again after performing in a wheelchair in Sydney, Australia -- much to the chagrin of physical disabilities activists.

And as EW reports, the shocking singer's night ended in an ironic twist. After the show, Gaga and her crew were at a gay nightclub and upon leaving were met with a barrage of tossed eggs. It seems as though several Aussie jokesters were beckoning Ms. Gaga back to the gestation phase that she so proudly displayed at the Grammy awards.

However, the agile singer dodged any potential harm while her body guards literally absorbed the egging. Whether this is a blatant attack on Gaga's shock value tactics or just a right place, right time kind of prank isn't clear. Check out the raw video below of just before the egging. Do you think Gaga likes 'em scrambled or sunny-side up?

Michael Buble Finally Recording Christmas Album!!

TORONTO - All Michael Buble wants for Christmas is Shania Twain — and it looks like his wish has been granted.

In a live video chat with fans this week, Buble revealed that he's been recording a Christmas album and he's already done a splashy duet with his fellow Canuck pop star.
"There's a couple duets that I really like, one with Shania Twain, which is really fantastic," Buble said in a video streamed from the historic Capitol Studios in Los Angeles.
"'White Christmas,' we did. We did it bouncy. I was inspired by 'Home Alone,' the Drifters."
The Burnaby, B.C., native said that the record would be helmed by Canadian producers David Foster and Bob Rock.
And while he hasn't finalized the track list yet, he says he's also recorded "Jingle Bells" with the U.K. swing trio the Puppini Sisters, as well as versions of "Blue Christmas," Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas is You" and an original track co-penned with musical director Alan Chang.
Though Buble didn't indicate when the Christmas record would be released, his enthusiasm for the project was obvious.
"I wanted to make the quintessential Christmas record," said the three-time Grammy winner. "I wanted to make a record that would outlive me, and I wanted to do for people what Bing Crosby did for me. He introduced me to the world of jazz and melody.
"And I didn't want to be hip or edgy. I just wanted to make a really sweet Christmas record that kids can grow up with."
At a different point in the chat, he was even more emphatic.
"I know this is going to sound weird but I think you guys can expect probably the best album I've made so far."

California governor signs bill requiring schools to teach gay history

"History should be honest," Democratic California Gov. Jerry Brown said about the gay history legislation.

"This bill revises existing laws that prohibit discrimination in education and ensures that the important contributions of Americans from all backgrounds and walks of life are included in our history books. It represents an important step forward for our state, and I thank Senator Leno for his hard work on this historic legislation."

The governor was referring to the bill's author, Sen. Mark Leno, a San Francisco Democrat.
California law already requires state schools to teach about the contributions of Native Americans, African-Americans, Mexican-Americans, and Asian-Americans, among other groups.

"Today we are making history in California by ensuring that our textbooks and instructional materials no longer exclude the contributions of LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) Americans," Sen. Leno said in a statement.
