Hohenzollern Castle emerges from dense fog in Hechingen, Germany. There has been a castle on the somewhat isolated Mount Hohen zollern since the 11th century, although this version—the third— was finished in 1867 and restored after earthquake damage in the 1990s. Still privately owned, it’s one of Germany’s most visited castles.
