'Glee' Star Darren Criss Mistaken For Stalker !!

Darren Criss has learned the hard way that being a fan of Gleeco-star Amber Riley can be very painful. Criss tried to express his admiration for Riley's nightly performance ofAin't No Way during the nightly Glee concert tour last spring by sitting in the audience each night to watch her performance.

One night Criss -- wearing a hoodie in the crowd to protect his identity -- was so moved by the number that he moved in for an embrace with his co-star.

"I went to go hug (Riley) backstage and made a beeline for her," Criss said during a press conference for Glee the 3D Concert Movie. "The security guards were like ninjas."

"I got zipped," he said with a laugh.

Riley says that Criss quickly assured security that he was a disguised castmember, not a stalker heading backstage. "He was like 'Guys, Guys!' and took his hood off," said Riley. "It was funny."

In the end, it ended up being a funny story. "We just cracked up, so did security," said Riley.

The incident didn't stop Criss' fandom. He insists he saw every performance of Riley's version of the Aretha Franklin classic. "And I cried every single time," he said.
