A family from China closed Friday on the purchase of pop star Joey Fatone's Windermere-area home for $3.3 million.
Located on the Butler Chain of Lakes near Windermere, the 12,370-square-foot house was on the market for more than a year and was listed for $5.5 million in February 2010.
It drew a lot of attention with the celebrity status of its former "N Sync owner, said Roger Soderstrom, broker for Stirling Sotheby's International Realty, which had the listing.

Behind the private, gated entrance, the house has six bedrooms, 10 baths and a million-dollar, resort-style pool. One of the noteworthy features is an air-conditioned garage that accommodates six vehicles and has a full kitchen, bath and rotating floors.
Equipped throughout with audio-visual equipment, the home has a home theater and game rooms. It also has a private boat house and dock.
Fatone, star of stage, screen and television, has appeared on Broadway, hosted NBC's show "The Singing Bee" and was a celebrity finalist in ABC's TV series"Dancing With the Stars." While he is currently involved in several projects, including an album, a TV series and a Broadway show, he is likely to keep a presence in Central Florida, Soderstrom said.
