Cast of MTV's The Buried Life Helps Raise $300,000!!

The cast of MTV's The Buried Life may not be airing new episodes of their reality show this summer, but that doesn't mean they haven't been busy.

Stars Ben Nemtin, Duncan Penn, Jonnie Penn and Dave Lingwood made good on their promise to give back while crossing off an item on their famous bucket list Tuesday, when they helped raise a whopping $300,000 for Keep America Beautiful.

Painting an 8x16 foot mural to be put on display at Chicago's Navy Pier was No. 61 on the group's list of things they want to do before they die, but as Nemtin tellsUs Weekly, the project was twofold.

"We did a campaign with Orbit [gum] to raise money for Keep America Beautiful, where fans could go to Orbit'sWeb site and enter a code from packs of gum to trigger a donation," he tells Us, adding that fans who visited the site voted on which city the group would travel to to paint the mural. "[That day] we also crossed off 'Make a Big Donation to Charity' from our list."

Though Nemtin admits the cast finished the mural with a little help from established artists, he tells Us they were each allowed to take their own creative liberties. "Dave needed the most help [painting]. He did some stick figure dinosaurs fighting in his [portion]," he said.

Later, the foursome traveled around the city cleaning up litter, planting flowers and meeting fans.

"Our fans are the best in the world," says Nemtin, who frequently interacts with fans on The Buried Life'sFacebook and Twitter pages. "They always show up in droves to help us out with things, and we always get
