Stevie Nicks: 'Reese Witherspoon is Too Old to Play Me'

Stevie Nicks has seemingly dismissed the possibility of Reese Witherspoon playing her in a proposed biopic.

The Fleetwood Mac singer has previously denied that a film of her life was in the works, but there continue to be consistent rumors that the movie will eventually be made.

Discussing the possible biopic with ET Canada, Nicks appeared to rule out Witherspoon as a candidate to play her on the big screen.

"I've already told her she's almost too old," Nicks commented to the news service.

She went on to joke: "I love [Reese], but she's like, 'I could play your mother', [and] I'm like okay."

Witherspoon famously won an Academy Award for her portrayal of country music icon June Carter in the Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line.

Nicks is currently promoting the documentary In Your Dreams, which is about the recording of her latest solo album.
